PUBLIC SPEAKING 101

This course helps students to become comfortable and confident when speaking or presenting in public, at meetings and on camera. It addresses the root cause of the fear, while giving proven, practical, step by step strategies to becoming a confident speaker. Two sessions will be online and one session in person to allow for formal presentations.
ESSENTIALS OF CUSTOMER SERVICE

Everyone serves customers, whether we realize it or not. Maybe you’re on the frontline of a company, serving the people who buy products or perhaps in administration, serving the employees by producing their paychecks and keeping the company running. Maybe you’re a company owner or a manager, serving your staff and customers. This course will look at the various types of customers as well as the essentials required to serve them better and improve ourselves in the process. All participants will be provided a strong skill set including in-person, online and over-the-phone techniques, and understand effective methods for dealing with difficult customers, and generating return/new business.
CORE PRINCIPLES OF LEADERSHIP

This course is designed to increase participants awareness and understanding of how to evolve into an effective leader. These interactive sessions will bring together likeminded people who are dedicated and motivated to making effective and lasting changes to their lives in a collective group. There will be activities, exercises, and challenges to foster growth and development. This engagement will close out with a capstone project or event.
EXCELLING AS A FIRST TIME SUPERVISOR

This course is designed to help employees’ successful transition from line staff to supervisory and management roles. Included in the course is theory and practical application of skills during the session. Students will be provided with the resources necessary to communicate effectively, create important boundaries during the transition and to help drive team performance while managing conflicts.
INTRODUCTION TO MICROSOFT PROGRAMS

This course is designed to educate participants on the Suite of products developed by the Microsoft Corporation that includes Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Each program serves a different purpose and is compatible with other programs included in the package. This course has been designed to instruct students clearly in how to use Microsoft Office suite correctly, effectively, and efficiently. This course consists of class discussion, group work, and class assignments.
BUILDING A SMALL BUSINESS

This course is designed to highlight ways to create low-cost ideas with maximum returns, discover low-cost ways of sourcing information and material for your niche business, provide tips for building your small business into a big brand, explore packaging and preparing for retailers, and discuss how to get your product or service to the market affordably.
MICROSOFT OFFICE SPECIALIST (MOS): EXCEL CERTIFICATION TRAINING
Mar. 8 - Apr. 26 | Mon | 6 pm - 8 pm | $650 (Includes practice test & exam fees)
This course is a certification training program designed to validate a participants’ knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Excel 2016. The course is also designed to guide participants’ in studying the types of tasks they are likely to be required to demonstrate in the certification exam. MOS exams for individual programs are practical rather than theoretical. Participants’ must demonstrate that they can complete certain tasks or projects rather than simply answer questions about program features. As this is a certification course, participants must have prior experience working in Excel. A textbook for this course must be purchased separately.
LEADERSHIP MASTERCLASS

This course is designed to help participants to identify the difference between managers & leaders, show how vision, goals & strategy drives team performance, connect with and build positive relationships with their staff, develop strengths of their team members, identify ways to keep team members accountable, pinpoint how to resolve conflict within the team, and reveal how the power of recognizing and rewarding team members is essential.
