About the Course
The Intro to Swimming for Adults course will accomplish the requisite skills to become a competent swimmer for health, safety, fitness and fun. Floating, breathing, balance, kicking and freestyle techniques will be taught in this course. Students are encouraged to progress at their own pace, while being challenged to enhance their skills and reach clear attainable goals.
Course Objectives
Students will learn how to submerge their faces in and under the water
Float on their fronts and backs unassisted for a minimum of 10 seconds
Kick independently and with an assisted aid (kick board)
Swim front crawl (freestyle) while attempting breaths
